Pacemaker Implantation
Restoring a Steady, Reliable Heartbeat
A pacemaker is a small electronic device implanted under the skin to help regulate abnormal heart rhythms. At Dr. Siva Prasad’s Hrudayalaya, we offer advanced pacemaker implantation procedures using the latest technology, performed by experienced cardiac specialists in a sterile, well-equipped Cath Lab.
Pacemaker therapy can be life-saving for patients with bradycardia (slow heart rate), heart block, or irregular heart rhythms.
How the Procedure is Done:
A small incision is made near the collarbone.
Leads (thin wires) are inserted into the heart via a vein.
A pacemaker device is placed under the skin and connected to the leads.
The device is programmed to regulate heart rhythm.
The incision is closed, and recovery monitoring follows.
When It’s Recommended:
Slow or irregular heartbeats (bradycardia)
Heart block or electrical conduction issues
Fainting due to rhythm problems
Certain heart failure cases with low heart rate
