Non-Surgical, Life-Saving Cardiac Procedures — Performed by Experts

At Dr. Siva Prasad’s Hrudayalaya, our Interventional Cardiology department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions using minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures. These techniques help patients avoid major surgery, reduce recovery time, and achieve better outcomes.

Led by our experienced interventional cardiologists, we deliver round-the-clock care for patients experiencing heart attacks, blocked arteries, valve issues, and other cardiac emergencies.

How It’s Done:

  • A small catheter is inserted through a blood vessel, usually via the wrist or groin.

  • X-ray guidance is used to navigate the catheter to the heart arteries.

  • Diagnostic tools or interventional devices (like balloons or stents) are passed through the catheter.

  • Blockages or narrowed vessels are treated using angioplasty or stenting.

  • The catheter is removed, and the access site is closed.

When It’s Recommended:

  • Chest pain or discomfort (angina)

  • Suspected or confirmed coronary artery disease

  • After a heart attack for opening blocked arteries

  • Abnormal stress test or ECG findings
