Interventional Cardiology
Non-Surgical, Life-Saving Cardiac Procedures — Performed by Experts
At Dr. Siva Prasad’s Hrudayalaya, our Interventional Cardiology department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions using minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures. These techniques help patients avoid major surgery, reduce recovery time, and achieve better outcomes.
Led by our experienced interventional cardiologists, we deliver round-the-clock care for patients experiencing heart attacks, blocked arteries, valve issues, and other cardiac emergencies.
How It’s Done:
A small catheter is inserted through a blood vessel, usually via the wrist or groin.
X-ray guidance is used to navigate the catheter to the heart arteries.
Diagnostic tools or interventional devices (like balloons or stents) are passed through the catheter.
Blockages or narrowed vessels are treated using angioplasty or stenting.
The catheter is removed, and the access site is closed.
When It’s Recommended:
Chest pain or discomfort (angina)
Suspected or confirmed coronary artery disease
After a heart attack for opening blocked arteries
Abnormal stress test or ECG findings
